Red Lobster announced more restaurant closures, including another Indiana location

It was announced in April that two Red Lobster locations in Indiana would be closing, along with almost 100 others across the United States.

At the time, the restaurant chain was considering filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. They officially filed on May 19. Now, the company is announcing more closures , including another one in Indiana.

How many Red Lobsters are closing?

Red Lobster has had to shutter at least 129 locations across the U.S., so far. They have added to their list of closures twice now.

Which Red Lobsters are closing in Indiana?

In April, the company said an Indianapolis (N. Shadeland Ave.) and Elkhart location would close in Indiana.

The third location added to the list of closures is in Michigan City at 4353 Franklin St.

Why did Red Lobster close?

The main cause of the bankruptcy was their all-you-can-eat shrimp deal and a 30% drop in guests since 2019, the company cited in court filings.
