While it's going to be a hot again Friday, Indiana is expected to finally see some cooler weather over the Labor Day weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis .

Once again, heat index values may rise up to be near 100 degrees on Friday. NWS Indianapolis forecasts the temperature could get up to 94 degrees. They expect it to start warming up around noon and for Central Indiana to reach the hottest temperature at 3 p.m.
We'll also see scattered thunderstorms tonight, especially north of Indianapolis near Lafayette after 8 p.m.
The temperature low for the evening will be 72 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Sunny and hot, with a high near 94. Light and variable wind becoming west southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday night
Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Saturday
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm are likely before 2 p.m., with a chance of more showers and storms afterward. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 82 degrees and a calm wind shifting northwest at about 6 mph in the afternoon. The chance of precipitation is 70%, with new rainfall under a tenth of an inch, and potentially higher amounts during thunderstorms.
Saturday night
A 30 percent chance of showers before 8 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Sunday
Sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
