There were multiple social media posts showing a set of end zone stands at Center Grove High School crushing the goal posts Friday night due to the wind. The game against Carroll was called at halftime due to the storm with Center Grove winning 28-14.

Some of the reports said the damage was the result of a microburst . According to the National Weather Service website, a microburst “is a localized column of sinking air (downdraft) within a thunderstorm and is usually less than or equal to 2.5 miles in diameter.”
