A lot has happened in Indiana politics in 2024, and it might be hard to decipher what exactly is going on in the Hoosier State as you prepare to head to the polls this November.

You have questions? I will answer – or do my best to help.

I’m Brittany Carloni , one of the state politics reporters on our team at IndyStar. I’ve been covering politics and elections in central Indiana for three-and-a-half-years, from local to the federal level s . I’ll be hosting a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” at noon on Sept. 10 to answer questions you have about key races in Indiana this fall and more.

In a state with a Republican supermajority at the Statehouse and GOP dominance in statewide and federal offices, odds point to many Indiana races having already been decided during our May primary elections . But our IndyStar politics team will keep bringing you what you need to know to cast your ballot in races for school board, governor, U.S. Senate and more.

(Given the amount of major politics news that has happened since May – from the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump to President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 race to the rise of Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee – it's safe to say anything can happen.)
