    Halftime: Texans lead Colts 12-7

In a confusing end to the first half, the Texans drive into Colts territory but the clock runs out on them. It may have saved the Colts a few points.

Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud hit Dalton Schultz at the Colts 38 in the closing seconds, then Stroud rushed to the line of scrimmage to spike the ball.

Officials reviewed the play because the Colts believed the pass to Schultz was incomplete. They ruled that that pass was complete, and that 15 seconds remained, rather than 5.

Colts coach Shane Steichen took a timeout to complain, and the referee apologized "for the confusion," resetting the clock at 5 seconds. He also gave the Colts back their timeout.

However, because the review came following the initial Schultz reception, the clock was running when play resumed. The Texans may not have realized that.

Instead of setting up for a long field goal, Stroud hurriedly threw an incomplete pass, but time expired. Houston's  Ka'imi Fairbairn made 50- and 51-yard field goals in the first half.

C.J. Stroud is 12-of-17 for 149 yards and a touchdown to Stefon Diggs. The Colts have sacked him 3 times.

Anthony Richardson is 6-of-12 for 93 yards, with 4 carries for 43 yards. He has passed for a touchdown and an interception.

2:39 left 2Q: Anthony Richardson throws interception

Calen Bullock dives for the pickoff as Kylen Granson slips on his pattern, and Houston takes over at its 8. Earlier in the drive, Anthony Richardson overthrows a wide-open Adonai Mitchell for what would've been a touchdown.

8:29 left 2Q: Colts wrap up C.J. Stroud

DeForest Buckner gets to C.J. Stroud, the Colts' third sack of the game, forcing Houston's first punt. The Colts take over at their 33.

11:31 left 2Q: C.J. Stroud hits Stefon Diggs for a touchdown

The Texans get into Colts territory on a 57-yard pass to Nico Collins. Three plays later, C.J. Stroud hits Stefon Diggs, who scores his first TD for Houston. The Colts stop the 2-point conversion try. Texans 12, Colts 7
