GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Colts have lost two of the defensive players they were counting on to provide an enormous impact this season.

Indianapolis lost DeForest Buckner to an ankle injury in the first half, and the Colts have also lost first-round pick Laiatu Latu to a hip injury.

Latu was declared out of the game midway through the fourth quarter, although it was unclear when he suffered the injury.

Drafted for his pass-rush ability, Latu was largely neutralized in the first two games by run-heavy game plans from Indianapolis's opponents, and if both Latu and Buckner are facing extended absences, Indianapolis will have lost its two best pass rushers.

Latu did not have an update on his status after the game, saying only that he needed to go get checked out by trainers.

    Laiatu Latu stats

Latu, the Colts' first-round pick and first defensive player taken, has yet to record an official stat in two games.
