Hoosiers hoping to get their '90s rock nostalgia fixes at White River State Park next week will have to look elsewhere.

Jane's Addiction , which announced a highly anticipated reunion tour featuring all of its original members earlier this year, has discontinued its tour following a bizarre onstage incident between frontman Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro Friday.

The band was expected to perform Sept. 26 at Everwise Amphitheater in downtown Indianapolis. Refunds will be available via point of purchase, according to a written statement from the band. IndyStar has reached out to LiveNation for additional details.

In a joint message shared on Instagram Monday, Navarro and bandmates Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins said they have "no choice" but to end the current tour because of Farrell's "continuing pattern of behavior and ... mental health difficulties."

"Our concern for his personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative. We hope that he will find the help he needs," the statement says. "We deeply regret that we are not able to come through for all our fans who have already bought tickets. We can see no solution that would either ensure a safe environment on stage or reliably allow us to deliver a great performance on a nightly basis."

Fan-recorded footage shows Farrell becoming increasingly agitated while performing and eventually making his way over to Navarro. Farrell nudges Navarro with his shoulder and the pair exchange words before Farrell appears to throw a punch at Navarro, who appears surprised. The frontman was restrained and escorted offstage by multiple members of the band and crew.

Photographer Brian Mackenzie posted to X (formerly Twitter): "I was shooting the show for the venue.. that clip really has everything notable that happened onstage. Perry had a huge bottle of wine with him all evening, Navarro and Avery kept chatting with each other the whole show and seemed angrier than normal."

Mackenzie continued : "Everyone (us included) thought it was a bit. A weird one, but, like, it was almost encore time and it seemed like ONE way to have the band leave the stage (only to return to thunderous applause) but .. 2 minutes later, house lights and walk-out music and show was over!"

The band also posted a statement to its official Instagram account that they have "made the difficult decision to take some time away."

Refunds for the affected dates will be issued at the point of purchase, according to the band's written statement, and fans who purchased via third-party sites like StubHub and SeatGeek are encouraged to reach out directly to those sites.
