'Twister' screening, Q&A with Helen Hunt at Old National Centre canceled, refunds to come

The remnants of Hurricane Helene will have to stand in for "Twister" star Helen Hunt, whose Indianapolis screening of the film and Q&A have been canceled this weekend.

The Sept. 29 event at Old National Centre was to include a screening of the film followed by an appearance where Hunt was expected to share behind-the-scenes stories and personal anecdotes of her experience filming the blockbuster.

A message posted to the event's Ticketmaster site said refunds will be issued to the original purchaser's method of payment in 14 to 21 days.

There was no reason given for the event's cancelation. A similar event scheduled for Saturday evening in Akron, Ohio, was also canceled, citing scheduling conflicts, according to the Akron Beacon Journal .

The 1996 blockbuster film, also starring the late-greats Bill Paxton and Philip Seymour Hoffman, is available to rent via Amazon Prime Video , Apple TV , Google Play and Fandango at Home each for less than $4.
