Let the debate end. Caitlin Clark is the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, according to a report by Shams Charania .

She is the second straight Fever player to win ROTY, as Aliyah Boston unanimously took home the award in 2023.

The rookie Fever star, picked No. 1 in the 2024 Draft, lived up to sky-high expectations this season. After a 1-8 start, she helped turn Indiana around to a 20-20 regular season and its first playoff berth in eight years.

∎ She broke the rookie scoring record (769), setting a Fever franchise single-season points record in the process

∎ She broke the rookie and league-wide single-season assists record (337).

In addition to rookie records, she also broke WNBA single-season and single-game assists (19) records. Her franchise-record 769 points barely edged out teammate Kelsey Mitchell, who had 767 this season.

On Sunday. the Fever rookie star was named first-team All-WNBA and was unanimously named the WNBA Rookie of the Year by a 15-person panel by the Associated Press. It marked the second year in a row for a Fever AP Rookie of the Year winner, joining 2023 No. 1 pick Aliyah Boston. Clark also finished fourth in the MVP voting , behind only A'Ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.

Clark averaged 19.2 points (seventh in the league), 8.4 assists (first) and 5.7 rebounds. She is the first player in league history to lead the league in assists and be top-10 in scoring in the same season.

Why are we posting this now? This decision which is made like four days ago. The media really has nothing to talk about now in the sports world seen as the fever is out of it. This is so pathetic.
