    What we learned: Weirdest weather, Lawrence North's statement, 1 vs. 2

    Danny Adams, Bishop Chatard: The sophomore running back carried 17 times for 137 yards and three touchdowns in 4A fourth-ranked Chatard’s 48-13 win over 3A No. 8 Guerin Catholic.

    Connor Cruz, Mooresville: The junior was 19-for-24 passing for 328 yards and three touchdowns in Mooresville’s 26-21 win over Franklin.

    Larry Ellison, Crown Point: Ellison accounted for 285 yards in rushing and receiving combined with two rushing TDs and two receiving TDs in 6A No. 5 Crown Point’s 41-7 victory over 5A No. 2 Valparaiso.

    JonAnthony Hall, Fishers: The senior receiver and Stanford commit accounted for 198 total yards — 80 return yards, 79 receiving, 37 rushing and 2 passing — and had a passing touchdown, rushing touchdown and receiving touchdown in a 27-13 win over Avon.

    Kasmir Hicks, Decatur Central: The junior speedster had a 96-yard touchdown run, nine catches for 85 yards and two TDs and a 99-yard kickoff return for a TD in Decatur Central’s 42-21 victory over 5A No. 1 Plainfield .

    RaiShaun McHaney, Lutheran: The 6-8, 250-pound senior defensive end had a huge game in Class 2A third-ranked Lutheran’s 33-6 win over Scecina as he finished with 10 ½ tackles, a strip sack and two fumble recoveries in Friday night’s inclement weather.

    Gabe McWilliams , Center Grove: The senior quarterback was 18-for-24 for 348 yards and three TDs in 6A No. 5 Center Grove’s 27-18 win over Lawrence Central. McWilliams has 1,658 passing yards and 14 TDs on the season.

    Izayveon Moore, Lawrence North: The sophomore running back ran for 180 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries and caught a 20-yard TD pass to help the Wildcats for a 58-28 win over Ben Davis. Lawrence North is 6-0 for the first time since 1991.

    Kendrick Pennybaker, Hamilton Southeastern: The junior receiver had his second consecutive 100-yard receiving game as he caught four passes for 109 yards and a touchdown in Hamilton Southeastern’s 25-14 win over Zionsville.

    Drew Pingleton, Indian Creek: The sophomore ran for 192 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries on 21 carries in Indian Creek’s 43-14 win over Edgewood.

    Exzander Ramirez, Plymouth: The senior quarterback thrived in the wind and rain on Friday night as he went 7-for-9 passing for 68 yards and a touchdown and ran 20 times for 183 yards and a score in Plymouth’s 33-32 overtime win over 5A No. 9 Warsaw. Ramirez led his team on an 80-yard touchdown drive after getting the ball with 2:45 left and converted the 2-point conversion to send the game to overtime. He had a TD pass and 2-point run for the win in overtime.

    Josh Ranes, New Palestine: The junior ran for 183 yards and two TDs on 24 carries in the Class 4A top-ranked Dragons’ 38-0 victory over No. 5 Greenfield-Central. Ranes was also a standout on defense as he finished with 10 tackles in the shutout.

    Roncalli defense: There were multiple standouts on Friday night in the rain and wind in Roncalli’s 37-18 win over Brebeuf Jesuit . Sam Neu had 10 tackles, 3 ½ for a loss, and 1 ½ sacks and A.J. Richardson and Brody Heidelberger each had seven tackles. Robert Houser returned a fumble 76 yards for a TD and Eli Lauck had a 96-yard interception return for a score.

    Branden Sharpe, Brownsburg: The sophomore made the game-changing play in Class 6A No. 2 Brownsburg’s 17-13 win over top-ranked Westfield , returning a kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown on the final play of the third quarter to the Bulldogs ahead by one point.

    Dominic Shockley, Carmel: The junior athlete caught two touchdowns passes from Anthony Coellner and returned a kickoff for 80 yards for another score in Carmel’s 48-14 victory over North Central. Shockley also had an interception on defense.

    Hunter Stroud, Martinsville: The senior receiver had 11 receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown in 4A third-ranked Martinsville’s 20-13 win over 5A No. 6 Whiteland.

    Warren Central defense: The defense led the way in the 6A third-ranked Warriors’ 18-7 win over Pike with back-to-back sacks to start the game for a safety and scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter on an interception return by Kaleb Elkins, who had two on the day. Warren Central had stops on 15 of 16 possessions and its fifth second half shutout of the season.

    T.J. Williams, Center Grove: The senior had 14 tackles, including three for a loss and one sack, in Center Grove’s 27-18 victory over Lawrence Central.

    Mark Zackery IV, Ben Davis: Though it came in a 58-28 loss to undefeated Lawrence North, the Notre Dame commit provided a game full of highlights with two interceptions, including one returned for a 72-yard touchdown. Zackery also had touchdown catches of 49, 37 and 68 yards to account for all four Giants’ TDs.

    Allen Zupan, Perry Meridian: The senior quarterback was 15-for-19 for 225 yards and two TDs and ran for 44 yards on 11 carries in the Falcons’ 35-28 victory over Greenwood.
