    Spirit Halloween is launching Christmas pop-up stores — but you'll have to travel to shop in one

    Halloween Spirit is in on Christmas creep this year.

    The company that operates Halloween costume and decorations pop-up stores across the country is expanding into Christmas merchandise shops.

    It is launching Spirit Christmas , loading up 10 shops with a vast assortment of holiday décor, stocking stuffers, inflatables, apparel and gifts.

    Santa will be on hand at the new concept for family photos, and holiday activities are featured at the stores.

    “Our goal is to create a festive retail experience that captures the spirit of the season, much like we do for Halloween,” spokesperson Nikki Balles said.

    The flagship store in May Landing, New Jersey, will open Oct. 18. The other locations —  some being transformed from Halloween shops —  will open in early November and operate through the holidays.

    What activities will be at Spirit Christmas stores?

    Guests can wander through a life-sized gingerbread village and mail a letter to Santa at the North Pole.

    Guests can take photos with Santa and get free digital postcards. Bookings are available at spiritchristmas.com .

    Will Indiana get Spirit Christmas stores?

    No. The stores listed as opening this year are all on the East Coast.
