Indy NXT champion Louis Foster is moving up to the IndyCar Series in 2025.

Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing announced Wednesday that the 21-year-old British driver will join the team after a dominant season in IndyCar's "Triple-A" series. More details about sponsorship in the multi-year deal will be announced later.

Foster won 8 Indy NXT races with 7 pole positions and 12 podium finishes for Andretti Global , leading more than half the laps for the 2024 season.

"Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing have Indy 500 victories, obviously Bobby (Rahal) has won an Indy 500 and there is a great wealth of knowledge with the team," said Foster, who also won the 2022 Indy Pro 2000 Series title. "This is where the hard work starts. We will start the preparations and make sure we get hit the ground running in St. Pete."

The 2025 IndyCar season begins March 2 on the streets of St. Petersburg, Fla.

"We are very excited to have Louis Foster drive for us over the next few years," team co-owner Mike Lanigan said in a statement. "I look forward to watching him grow into a future IndyCar star. He reminds me of another driver — the late, great Justin Wilson."

Graham Rahal is confirmed for next season, but RLL has another seat to fill. Christian Lundgaard , who has moved to Arrow McLaren, and Pietro Fittipaldi raced for RLL in 2024.
