This Halloween will likely be a sea of red and yellow thanks to Marvel's theatrical release of " Deadpool & Wolverine ."

The film opened to historic box-office records , meaning Hoosiers have scary high odds of seeing costumed revelers dressed either as Wolverine or Deadpool, Lady Deadpool, Kidpool, Dogpool or — what the heck, it's Indiana — "Cornpool" we're sure.

Even so, the wildly popular "merc with the mouth" didn't trend for Indiana on Google Frightgeist , an annual ranking of what costumes people are searching for every Halloween.

What does Google Frightgeist say about Indiana?

Earlier this month, Google’s Frightgeist site released both its national and regional search results of popular Halloween costumes for adults, children, pets, and couples. Hoosiers living in Indianapolis, South Bend, and Evansville appeared to favor character Lydia Deetz from the new "Beetlejuice" movie, as well as a familiar scary clown from Stephen King's "IT."

Here's a look at Frightgeist's list of most popular costumes in 2024.

Top Halloween costumes in Indiana for 2024, according to Google

    • Indianapolis — #1, Lydia Deetz. #2, Tinker Bell. #3, Boo (from Monsters Inc.).
    • Evansville — #1, Pennywise. #2, Capybara. #3, Batman.
    • Fort Wayne — #1 Jennifer's Body. #2, Starfire. #3, Harley Quinn.
    • Lafayette — #1 Nemo. #2, Cowboy. #3, Playboy Bunny.
    • South Bend — #1, Lydia Deetz. #2, Padme Amidala. #3, Pennywise.
    • Terre Haute — #1, Cinderella. #2, Rapunzel. #3, Creepy Doll.
