INDIANAPOLIS -- Former MVP Joel Embiid and former Pacers All-NBA wing Paul George will sit out the 76ers' game against the Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Sunday according to the NBA's official injury report released on Saturday.

Embiid and George were both expected to be out and neither has played yet this young season. Embiid has been managing his left knee since tearing his meniscus last season. George, who the Sixers signed this offseason has been dealing with a bone bruise in his left knee since suffering a hyperextension during the preseason.

The Pacers' injury sheet is clean except for center James Wiseman, who tore his Achilles tendon on Wednesday in the win over Detroit and had surgery Thursday in New York. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said Wiseman has not been ruled out for the season yet but he is out long term as recovery from such surgery tends to take 4-6 months. Center Isaiah Jackson returned from a groin strain to play in Friday's loss to the Knicks and was not listed on the injury report.
