SULLIVAN, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A 54-year-old man from Chittenango was arrested after an alleged road rage incident in the Town of Sullivan around noon on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Ohio man arrested in Jefferson County Sexual Assault investigation

The victims say they saw the suspect, Gary Moth, driving behind them erratically. He then passed the victims in the oncoming lane and was pointing what looked like a black handgun at them.

Moth allegedly crashed his vehicle into the victim’s vehicle, which caused him to lose control and rollover near the intersection of Fyler Road and Devaul Road, New York State Police said.

State police searched Moth’s vehicle after he crashed and say they found a Glock model pellet handgun and methamphetamine.

Moth was arrested and began to complain of a minor injury from the crash.

He was then taken to Upstate Medical Center and released shortly afterward, according to NYSP.

    Moth is charged with:

    • Menacing in the second-degree
    • Criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth-degree
    • Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh-degree
    • Aggravated unlicensed operation

He was issued an appearance ticket at the Town of Sullivan Court for Nov. 12, NYSP said.
