    Lewis County warming shelter opens for season on Nov. 1

    WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – People in Lewis County needing to get out of the cold weather will soon have a place to go.

    The county announced that its warming shelter will open for the 2024-25 season will open on Friday, November 1.

    Cold weather tips for your pet’s safety

    The warming shelter will be located at 5499 Jackson Street in Lowville and will be open 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

    The center will open for anyone needing a place to stay during the day. People are asked to use the entrance on the right side of the building.
