    Syracuse man facing drug charges after arrest in Jefferson County

    ADAMS, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 21-year-old Syracuse man is facing drug charges after allegedly selling drugs to a confidential informant Thursday in the town of Adams.

    According to the Metro Jeff Drug Task Force, Ajaliek Wright allegedly sold around 12.5 grams of cocaine to a police informant.

    Jefferson County man charged with possessing, selling drugs

    Authorities said they stopped Wright and three other occupants after the alleged sale. A subsequent search found another 3.2 grams of cocaine, 94 envelopes of fentanyl and around $775 in cash.

    Wright received charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree sale of a controlled substance.

    One of the occupants, 25-year-old Robert Chizams, was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

    Wright was arraigned and released while Chizams was given a ticket and released.

    Authorities add that more arrests and charges are pending while the investigation continues.
