Massage parlor owner must quit the industry, close eight locations over human trafficking
HOUSTON (KIAH) — A new Texas law that went into effect September 1, 2023 is on full display in the case of Hsin Wei Chen. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation says the law allows the TDLR’s executive director to “issue an emergency order halting the operation of any massage establishment if law enforcement or TDLR believes human trafficking is occurring at the establishment.”

Search for Texas couple has turned into a ‘recovery effort,’ sheriff office says
MOAB — The search for a married Texas couple who went missing east of Moab has turned into a recovery operation, according to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office.
