A new archival Fleetwood Mac concert album featuring performances from the band’s 1982 tour in support of its studio album Mirage will be released on September 20. Mirage Tour ’82 features recordings of 22 songs that the group played during a sold-out two-show engagement on October 21 and 22 at The Forum in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California.

Mirage Tour ’82, which can be pre-ordered now, will be available as a two-CD set, a three-LP vinyl collection, and via various digital formats. A limited-edition crystal-clear-vinyl version also will be sold exclusively at Amazon.com.

The album features six songs from the October 21 concert that have never been released before. The remaining tunes were recorded at the October 22 gig, and have previously appeared on other Fleetwood Mac releases, including the Super Deluxe editions of the Mirage and Live albums, and the 1983 Mirage concert video.

Among the unreleased performances are renditions of the hits “Dreams,” “Don’t Stop,” and “Sara,” the enduring gem “Landslide”, and the Peter Green-era Fleetwood Mac classic “Oh Well.” The album also includes versions of four songs from Mirage—“Eyes of the World” and the hits “Hold Me,” “Gypsy,” and “Love in Store.”

    About Mirage

Mirage was the fourth studio album Fleetwood Mac released after Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joined the band. The album became the group’s third to top the Billboard 200, after the band’s 1975 self-titled effort and Rumours (1977). Mirage spent five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the albums chart in August and early September of 1982.

As mentioned before, the record included the hit singles “Hold Me,” “Gypsy,” and “Love in Store,” which peaked at No. 4, No. 12, and No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100.

More About the Mirage Tour ’82 Album

Fleetwood Mac mounted a 31-city U.S. tour in support of Mirage. Both Forum concerts were recorded, and the Mirage Tour ’82 album was assembled combining performances from both shows to present the set list as it was played at the gigs.

In the liner noted for the new live album, music journalist and songwriter Bill DeMain described the collection as “a riveting listen.”
