Two women arrested in Canyon County campground homicide case
Canyon County, ID (CBS2) — The Canyon County Sheriff's Office has arrested two women in connection to the Martin Landing Campground homicide. The Canyon County Sheriff's Office has arrested 35-year-old Melissa Fay Calumpit and 59-year-old Rosalie Lynn Morris both of Battle Mountain, Nevada, in connection to the homicide of 37-year-old Travis Haywood Calumpit on July 12, at the Martin Landing campground near Parma.

RIRIE — A local family is home recovering after being in a car crash over the Fourth of July weekend. Curtis and Jana Hamilton and their four children had plans to go to a horse show at the Wind River Arena in Rigby near their home on the day of the crash, which was July 5. They had left a lawn chair at Jana’s brother’s house in Menan so they were going to pick it up then go back to the arena.

Post Falls approves Seltice Way road rehabilitation
POST FALLS, Idaho — A project to update the pipeline along Seltice Way between McGuire and Chase roads was approved by the Post Falls City Council on Tuesday. Andrew Arbini, projects division manager for the Post Falls public works department, said the pavement in that area is in poor condition. He said interim repairs including patching provided a temporary fix to get the roadway through another season.

GRANGEVILLE - Due to ongoing hot and dry weather conditions curing both live and dead fuels across north-central Idaho, interagency land managers have decided to implement Stage 1 Fire Restrictions for the Grangeville Fire Restrictions Area. This decision was made collectively by Fire Wardens and Fire Management Officers from the Nez Perce Tribe, Idaho Department of Lands, Bureau of Land Management, Clearwater-Potlatch Timber Protection Association, and the Forest Service.
