    4 Florida Teens Injured When Lightning Strikes Tree

    Four teenagers were injured when lightning struck a popular banyan tree in St. Petersburg, Florida , Thursday, according to fire officials.

    Lightning struck the tree around 5:45 p.m., officials said.

    A girl was in cardiac arrest and was taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, officials said. Medics were able to get her pulse back as they arrived at the hospital, WFLA reported.

    A male was hospitalized in what was described as stable condition, WFLA reported.

    A boy and a girl were taken to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital . The boy suffered burns from the lightning strike and is considered stable. The girl was also considered stable, WFLA reported.

    St. Petersburg Fire Rescue said the patients included two 16-year-old girls, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy.

    All four teens are now considered stable, according to reports.
