There are some great comedies available on Netflix beginning in August.

There's also the Netflix original movie "The Union," starring Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry.
Here are the best movies on Netflix in August.
'Fury' (August 1) Brad Pitt in "Fury."
Sony Pictures
Writer-director David Ayer delivers one of the more gritty war movies in recent memory. Starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal, Logan Lerman, and Michael Peña as members of a tank crew going up against Nazi Germany in World War II, the interactions and scenarios on screen are influenced by memories from the veterans in Ayer's family.
'Mr. Deeds' (August 1) John Turturro and Adam Sandler in "Mr. Deeds."
Sony Pictures
In this Adam Sandler remake of the 1936 Frank Capra movie starring Gary Cooper, "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town," a blue-collar guy (Sandler) learns he's the heir of a billionaire.
'Not Another Teen Movie' (August 1) Chris Evans in "Not Another Teen Movie."
Columbia Pictures
Long before Chris Evans played Captain America (and Johnny Storm), he was cast in this spoof that pays homage to some of the best high school movies ever made including "Pretty in Pink," "The Breakfast Club," "She's All That," "Bring it On," "Varsity Blues," "American Pie," "10 Things I Hate About You," "Cruel Intentions," and "Sixteen Candles."
'Room' (August 1) Jacob Tremblay and Brie Larson in "Room."
Elevation Pictures/StudioCanal/A24
Brie Larson earned a best actress Oscar for her gripping performance as a young woman who escapes captivity with her son (Jacob Tremblay), who experiences the outside world for the first time.
'Save the Last Dance' (August 1) Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas in "Save the Last Dance."
Paramount
Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas have red-hot chemistry in this romantic drama. Stiles plays Sara, who does ballet and has dreams of going to Juilliard. After a horrific event puts her ballet dreams on hold, Thomas' character convinces her to get back into dance with a more hip-hop feel.
'White Chicks' (August 1) Shawn and Marlon Wayans in "White Chicks."
Sony
Though panned by critics when it was released in 2004, this Keenen Ivory Wayans comedy has since become a cult classic.
Shawn and Marlon Wayans play FBI agents who go undercover as white women to protect two heiresses from being kidnapped while they vacation in The Hamptons, resulting in outlandish comedic moments as the two try to keep their identities hidden.
'Night School' (August 11) Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart in "Night School."
Universal
Kevin Hart goes back to, you guessed it, night school in this comedy, which costars Tiffany Haddish as a teacher with some unorthodox teaching methods. The movie also stars Rob Riggle, Romany Malco, Ben Schwartz, and Taran Killam.
'The Union' (August 16) Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg in "The Union."
Netflix
In this Netflix original movie, Mark Wahlberg plays a construction worker who reconnects with his high school girlfriend, played by Halle Berry. He soon learns she's a secret agent and is suddenly thrust into her next mission.
