It didn't take long for Elon Musk to fire off a jab at Taylor Swift after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris .

"Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life," Musk wrote in an X post on Wednesday morning.

Musk was weighing in on Swift's latest Instagram post, where she endorsed Harris.

The post, which was published on Tuesday night, came shortly after Harris completed her first presidential debate with former President Donald Trump.

"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I'm voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them," Swift wrote in her post.

"I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos," she continued, before signing off with the label "Childless Cat Lady."

The term appeared to be a dig at Trump's running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio. Ohio made remarks about childless people during a Fox News interview in 2021.

"We are effectively run in this country via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too," Vance said then.

Representatives for Swift and Musk didn't immediately respond to requests for comment sent outside regular business hours.

At press time, Swift had not responded to Musk's X post.

For what it's worth, Musk's engagement with Swift used to be more convivial.

When Swift's latest album, " The Tortured Poets Department, " became a chart-topping success, Musk was quick to compliment the pop star.

"I'm not quite the target audience, but nonetheless very impressive indeed!" Musk wrote in an X post on April 29.

But Swift's endorsement of Harris puts her at odds with Musk, who gave his endorsement to Trump back in July.

Musk has since become a vocal supporter of the former president and has even expressed interest in working for a potential Trump administration .

Musk said in a separate X post on Wednesday that while Harris "exceeded most people's expectations" during Tuesday's debate, he still believed that Trump was the superior candidate.

"That said, when it comes to getting things done, not just saying nice-sounding words, I strongly believe that Trump will do a far better job," Musk wrote.
