Special Guest Joins Coldplay For Stunning “Fix You” Performance

Coldplay has been rocking out in Germany for the last three nights. While all fans were ecstatic to see them, the concertgoers on August 15th got an extra special surprise. Shawn Mendes made a guest appearance on stage that night and joined the band in their performance of their hit song Fix You .

While performing at the Olympiastadion, Coldplay decided to bring out their special guest. Shawn Mendes entered the stage and proceeded to sing the band’s hit song Fix You with them.

A fan was able to capture incredible footage of Chris Martin running and embracing Shawn Mendes on stage. He effortlessly blended with the group as they all began singing the lyrics.

Chris then moved to the piano, where he played beautifully and continued to sing along. Shawn did a great job of harmonizing as the song progressed.

Fans were not the only ones excited about Shawn Mendes joining in on Fix You . The singer himself was ecstatic to be a part of the Coldplay performance. The star took to Instagram to share his thoughts. He started off the caption with, “I’ve gotten to do a lot of special things in my life, but last night was something I’ll never forget.”

PEOPLE reported that the In My Blood singer made his surprise appearance here only slightly more than a week after he dropped his new single, Why Why Why . Additionally, the singer-songwriter released a music video for his song Isn’t That Enough .

As if the singer wasn’t busy enough, he also just announced his new upcoming album . This will mark Shawn Mendes’s fifth album, and it is expected to be released on October 18th.
