Rob Lowe’s Son Praises Dad For Being A “Complete Idiot In The Best Way”

If you can grow up to have a loving, respectful, and fun relationship with your parents as an adult, it is a huge blessing. If you grow up and decide to go into business with them, it can be an equally incredible blessing that also comes with stress and sometimes frustration.

John Owen Lowe, 29, knows all about having a great dad who he not only loves but also gets to work with. He will also tell you it’s not easy. John Owen’s dad is Rob Lowe, 60, whose successful career and decades-long marriage to his mom, Sheryl Berkoff, have proven to be an inspiration.

John Owen And Rob Work Together

The pair currently star on the Netflix show Unstable , and John Owen said the experience has been great.

“Professionally, I would say we found a groove, so we understood how to navigate each other’s behavior on set, which was not something we had ever experienced before,” he told Fox News .

The two are learning to work together, which has had challenges.

“So, I think there was less frustration in that regard. I won’t speak for him, but I will say for me, and I think that with that sort of additional respect for each other professionally came some personal respect, just a modicum, just a tiny bit, but it is very fun working with him. My dad, he is a complete idiot in the best way.”

But don’t get it twisted. They are still a father and son, and sometimes, Rob just bugs him.

“This is the least articulate I’ll be, but he’s just annoying. He’s really annoying. He comments on my hair and my clothes and how puffy my eyes are and why there are bags under my eyes in the morning and wants to know why I was up late and what I was doing. He’s nosy, and he wants to know about my personal life and who I’m dating and blah blah blah. He’s annoying.”
