There’s never a good time to experience a panic attack . Still, there are certain moments when this is especially true. Nate Byrne, an Australian meteorologist, understands this from personal experience. That’s because, years ago, he experienced his very first panic attack while on the air. Sounds terrifying, right? This was especially true since Nate had never experienced anything like this before.

At the time, he thought his career was over. Thankfully, that was not the case. With the help of medical professionals, he was able to get his anxiety under control. That said, panic attacks don’t simply disappear forever. A big difference now, however, is that Nate has the coping skills needed to deal with them. This beloved weatherman showcased this recently when he had another panic attack on air. Watch for yourself in the video below.

At the start of the video, it’s clear that Nate is feeling off. But rather than trying to push through it, which would only make it worse, he’s brave enough to speak up. When he asks for a break, his co-worker is happy to help him out. She even takes this moment to remind viewers of the insightful article Nate wrote years ago , educating others on panic attacks and his experience with them.

Soon after this panic attack, Nate is able to return with his co-workers. It’s clear that their kind, understanding response to him needing a break means the world to him. And it no doubt means the world to the viewers who, like Nate, deal with panic attacks themselves.

“They both handled this so seamlessly! Really beautiful and authentic,” one person writes in the comment section, with another adding , “He handled that like a champ. As someone who’s gone through this myself I’m literally in tears.”
