Wildlife Photographer Captures Rare Glimpse Of Grizzly Bear Startled By Thunder & Lightning

It’s hard to imagine anything scaring a grizzly bear, but it looks like even these massive predators have a weakness: lightning! One lucky wildlife photographer managed to capture some incredible footage of one of these creatures getting startled during a thunderstorm. It’s oddly endearing to see this huge, intimidating animal glancing up at the sky, frightened and confused. This poor bear looked more like a skittish puppy than a deadly hunter!

In the video, the grizzly bear was walking through the woods at night when a flash of lightning caused them to stop in their tracks. They looked up for a moment, clearly scared by the bright light. However, this didn’t keep them from moving forward, especially since there seemed to be a treat on the ground. As the grizzly bear crept closer to the food, another bolt of lightning struck the sky. Although they flinched, they stood their ground this time. It seems that snack time was more important!

Unfortunately, this food-driven courage wouldn’t hold out forever. During the next few flashes of lightning, the grizzly bear began to cower and back away from the treat on the ground. It’s hard to believe that one of these creatures could look so small and vulnerable!

This photographer’s incredible video has received over 22 million views online. Many commenters noted that the animal’s behavior reminded them of a dog. Others lamented the fact that they couldn’t snuggle with this cuddly-looking creature!
