Woman Shares The Emotional Moment She’s Matched With Her First Service Dog

For a paralyzed young woman named Eden, meeting her service dog was a very special moment. As soon as the pooch entered the room, she was totally in love. The same seemed to be true for the dog, who couldn’t stop wagging her tail or licking her new owner’s face! This beautiful encounter was captured on video and shared on social media, where it’s been going viral.

In the adorable clip, Eden sat on a mat on the floor waiting for trainers to bring her four-legged friend over. Everyone in the room applauded as the pup excitedly walked up to the young woman, ready to give her some love. This service dog and her new owner had technically already met, but watching them bond once things became offical was too sweet. Both of them looked so happy with the match!

Eden wrote a special thank you to Canine Companions in her caption, since they were responsible for her meeting her service dog.

In an earlier video, Eden told the story of how she became paralyzed . During a spring break trip, she jumped out of a boat and into the water, thinking that it would be deep enough for diving. Unfortunately, she couldn’t see that there was a sandbar right there. She ended up snapping her neck.

After the accident, the young woman was unable to use her arms or legs. Eventually, she regained the use of her arms, but not her hands. She’s still in a wheelchair and expects to be for the foreseeable future. Having a service dog in her life will make things a lot easier for her, so it’s no wonder that she got emotional meeting her new animal companion!
