A very select group of people are truly musically gifted. They play so well it’s almost unbelievable. Maya Neelakantan is one such artist.

Maya is only 10 years old, but her guitar-playing skills rival some of the best we’ve ever heard. She competed in the quarterfinals of America’s Got Talent , and her most recent performance sounded like a true rock star.

Maya Neelakantan Jammed Her Guitar To Metallica’s “Master of Puppets ” On “AGT”

The AGT star played Metallica’s Master of Puppets, which is notably difficult for even the most talented guitar players. But at just 10 years old, Maya killed it. She walked onto the stage playing her instrument with such ease it blew the judges away.

At the end of her performance, Howie Mandel told her that looking at her and hearing the song was totally unexpected. “You are a surprise. You’re amazing. I love You!”

Judges Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara concurred, giving the tween props for being authentically herself and taking on such a challenging song.

Simon Cowell loved it and told Maya, “I think you’re just one of these people with a God-given talent.”

Maya told host Terry Crews she was so excited to be there and thanked Metallica for such a great song.

Fans are rooting for Maya to go all the way to the top.

Fans flocked to AGT’ s YouTube to watch Maya perform.
