Tallulah Willis Gives Bittersweet Update On Bruce Willis’ Dementia Battle

Bruce Willis is a father to five daughters who all adore their dad. The last two years have been difficult for Bruce and his family as they navigate their new normal. He was diagnosed with aphasia in the spring of 2022, which eventually led to a frontotemporal dementia diagnosis. While Bruce has lost his ability to communicate, his willingness to give love is still very much present.

His daughter Tallulah, 30, told E! News that her father’s condition appears static. And while it is painful to watch, the family isn’t giving up on Bruce.

“It’s the same, which in this situation is a good thing. Our visits have so much love, and I feel that. That overarches anything for me is being able to have that connection,” she said.

Bruce Willis Shows His Unconditional Love As He Struggles With Dementia

He may not be able to say it, but there is no doubt Bruce loves Tallulah.

“I know he knows how much I love him. I know how much he loves me—I know how much he loves all of us,” she said. “It’s a hard thing for anyone going through this. But it has really created an opportunity for more love for my family.”

Tallulah added that being in the spotlight puts an extra layer on Bruce Willis’ dementia struggles. She said she was raised with the understanding that being in the public eye allows them the ability to help a broad audience.

“We are in a very unique position where we have this platform. All of us do… all of us, in our own ways, have a voice… and I think it’s been ingrained… I know for me, especially, ‘how can we use something that’s painful or challenging or a struggle and create awareness about it.'”
