Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen introduced us to Irving Berlin’s catchy tune, Sisters, in the 1954 classic film White Christmas . The song taught us that the bond between sisters will never break, not even for a man.

The lyrics very clearly say, “Lord, help the mister. Who comes between me and my sister? And Lord, help the sister who comes between me and my man”

The Cammilleri Sisters Take This Song Seriously

Jenna, Claire, Anna, Deborah, Mary, Julia, Lydia, and Nicolea love to sing and play musical instruments. The eight sisters live in different parts of the United States, but they are sure to share music when they get together.

Their website explains , “We started singing harmony and playing instruments together from very young ages, and music continues to be an integral part of who we are as a family. “

Since 2016, when any sisters have married, the group will perform Sisters at the reception. They shared a video of a recent performance on I nstagram , and it sounds like something out of a movie. Seven sisters surround the bride and sing to her in a beautiful harmony. It is all a capella and would make Bing Crosby and Dany Kaye swoon.

The sisters caption their video, “A fun tradition we started a few weddings back when one of us gets married; we sing this song! We really are devoted sisters”

Other sisters have a similar tradition. Like this person, “I am one of seven sisters, and we always sang this song. I love it.”

And this one, “I have six sisters and sang this but never this good of harmony.”

    Many cheered them on.

“The lost art of harmonizing! Beautiful voices & lovely ladies!”

Congratulations ladies, may your voices continue to make sweet-sounding music together for years to come.
