Dog’s Face Is Completely Covered In Porcupine Quills — But Still Wags His Tail At Rescuers

We wouldn’t blame this poor dog for being in a bad mood after getting a face full of painful porcupine quills. However, in typical good boy fashion, this pooch still greeted his rescuers with a friendly and enthusiastic tail wag. What a trooper! Paws Up Program shared some adorable footage of this sweet pup on social media.

In the video, the rescue team found the dog lying on the grass, face absolutely covered in porcupine quills. In fact, it was almost impossible to tell what this unfortunate canine looked like underneath his spiky mask! However, even though this pooch must have been experiencing extreme discomfort in this situation, he still seemed truly happy to see the humans.

“Tail still wagging and excited to see me,” wrote one of the Paws Up Program rescuers over the video. “He knows he is going to get help.”

In their caption, they added, “No words. This one was hard to see. This sweet boy is so resilient.”

Commenters felt so bad for this adorable pup and his predicament. Some people joked that the porcupine must have used up all their quills after defending themself from this dog!

“Poor, poor little baby,” wrote one user. “And he can still wag his tail.”

Another asked, “What does the porcupine look like? Is it bald now?”

A third said, “I’ve never seen a pup get porcupined so badly before.”

In a later video, Paws Up Program revealed that the punctured pooch is doing just fine now. They shared a cute video of the dog relaxing in a windowsill, his face now completely free from porcupine quills.

It turns out that this sweet boy is named Brutus, and he’s up for adoption! We hope that he finds a wonderful home soon.
