96-Yr-Old Gets Special Birthday Wish Granted At Baseball Game

When this 96-year-old baseball fan told his family what he wanted for his birthday, they were determined to make it happen. First, the elderly man was hoping to go to a San Diego Padres game with his loved ones. That wouldn’t be too difficult to arrange. However, the next part of his wish would be a little harder to grant. He also really, really wanted to see himself on the jumbotron!

In a sweet video on social media, Courtney Lund O’Neil shared some footage from her grandfather’s birthday celebration at the baseball game. To make his day even more special, one of the elderly man’s family members was carrying a huge sign that read, “Happy 96th Birthday Grandpa.” As the group walked to their seats, other sports fans started cheering for the birthday boy!

“It’s amazing to witness the goodness of people,” Courtney wrote over the footage.

This was just the beginning of Grandpa’s special day, though. When a woman in the crowd caught a foul ball, she knew she wanted to give it to the man celebrating his 96th birthday at the baseball field. Courtney got the sweetest photo of her grandfather and the thoughtful stranger!

Of course, Grandpa’s biggest birthday wish — to be on the baseball field’s jumbotron — still had yet to be fulfilled. However, it wasn’t long before he got to see himself on the big screen! His granddaughter caught some incredible footage of the elderly man and his family cheering and waving as they realized they were being broadcast.

People can’t believe this man is 96 years old.

All in all, it looks like this 96-year-old had the best birthday ever attending a baseball game with his loved ones. Many commenters on this beautiful video noted that Grandpa does not look his age at all!
