One good turn deserves another, which is why this woman felt compelled to share her drawing talents with these incredibly kind strangers. Samalia Swan was walking back to her hotel in Cambodia when it began to rain. Lucky for her, there was a tent nearby, which appeared to be selling food. However, she wasn’t expecting the people who owned it to treat her with such hospitality!
In a sweet video on social media, Samalia shared that this family was very generous. Not only did they allow her to wait out the rain under their roof, but one woman also made her a delicious mango shake! Samalia was so touched by these strangers that she felt she had to do something for them in return. So, she decided to put her creativity to good use.
What a unique and special present!
Samalia is a gifted artist, and she often makes quick sketches of interesting people she sees in her travels. It was easy for her to whip up a beautiful drawing of the woman who had made her the mango shake surrounded by fruit in her tent.
This vendor looked incredibly surprised and moved when Samalia presented her with the sketch. She had the biggest smile on her face as she took the artist’s portrait !
Commenters thought this moment was too adorable. Many were also floored by the creator’s talent!
“Ohh… to be beautifully drawn by a passer-by under the dancing rain,” wrote one user.
Another added, “When I say I am jealous of people who can draw and are artists, this is why. To be able to just sketch something that brings another person instant joy is such an incredible gift.”
What a beautiful way to repay someone’s kindness ! We’re sure this family will never forget the woman who drew this beautiful sketch in return for their hospitality.
