Couple Spots Abandoned “Marshmallow” Hiding In The Grass During Their Hike

You never know what you might discover on a hike. Carolyn McCabe and her boyfriend are no strangers to this fun activity, but even they were blown away by something that caught their eye on the trail. The unknown item was tucked away in some nearby greenery. In hindsight, it’s a wonder they even noticed. At first, they didn’t even have a clue as to what they had found — all they knew is it was something white and fairly round.

Once they were able to get closer, they finally solved the mystery. Somehow, they managed to stumble upon an abandoned guinea pig. The poor creature was all alone, so the couple scooped him up, placing him inside their frisbee golf bag. From here, they took him home so they could locate his owner. Unfortunately, they never did. But what did happen, quite literally, changed the lives of everyone involved.

As Carolyn explains in the above video, getting to know and care for this sweet guinea pig , named Quinn, was such a delight. He turned out to be such a sweetie, making it all the more baffling that anyone would abandon him. But as much as they loved him, Carolyn’s cat and allergies made it impossible to keep him. Finding him a new home, however, was easy!

“That poor babe is so lucky you found him!! Thank you,” someone shares in the comment section of the video, with another adding , “How could somebody dump off that sweet little marshmallow.”

“Thank you so much for saving him,” a third person shares. “I’ve had guinea pigs for about 8 yrs and they are amazing animals.”
