Wheel of Fortune just got a facelift, and viewers are leaving mixed reviews. The fan-favorite gameshow not only has a new host but also a new set. While Maggie Sajak revealed a behind-the-scenes look at the new set, fans did not hold back their various opinions.

Maggie Sajak Reveals The New Set Of “Wheel Of Fortune”

Maggie, the show’s social correspondent and daughter of the former host, Pat Sajak, just took fans on a behind-the-scenes adventure of the beloved show. Season 41 started with the big change of a new host. After 40 years, the previous host, Pat Sajak, stepped down and made way for Ryan Seacrest.

However, a new host was not the only difference. The entire Wheel of Fortune set got an update, as well. Maggie shared an Instagram video tour.

She starts off the video by pointing out the show’s new sign and logo. She then points out the large sunburst decorations and mentions, “The whole set is sort of a homage to classic Wheel of Fortun e.”

Although it pays tribute to the original, Maggie does admit that the whole orientation of the set is now different than before. She points out some of those differences such as the placement of the wheel, a new LED floor, and a screen that holds a secret door where Ryan and Vanna make their grand entrance on every show.

Next, Maggie assured fans that not everything has changed on Wheel of Fortune . The puzzle board is the same — apart from a new border— and the beloved wheel has not changed.

    Fans Are Torn

Although fans still love the show and Maggie, the group consensus on the new look was mixed. Some fans adored the changes and shared their love for them in the comments. They wrote things like, “The set looks great” and “Great tour.”

Others shared specific details they liked. For example, one user wrote, “Love the set! I love the new base on the Wheel, too! .” Another shared, “I love the new set! It’s so 2024!”

However, not all the comments left were positive ones. Although some fans raved about the changes, some raged. One user shared that they thought the set was “HORRIBLE” and wondered, “Why do they always have to mess with what isn’t broken?”

That same user went on to share specific details about the new Wheel Of Fortune set that they didn’t like. Sharing, “The colors are too bold and bright please bring back the other stage.” This user was not the only one who felt this way. Other comments like “Liked the old set better” and “Not sure why you had to change it, this is too flashy,” followed it.

One user even went as far as to say that the new set had an “antiseptic tech theme” that was “not warm and cozy” as the previous set was. Hopefully, as the season progresses, the show can win over all of the fans who were less than impressed with the Wheel Of Fortune’s new set design.

The set is way too bright, don't like it. Not liking Seacrest either, too touchy-feely, trying too hard, done watching. 👎
