The Voice is back, and there’s a new twist to keep the coaches and contestants on their toes. This year, Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani have Snoop Dog and Michel Buble next to them in the powerful red chairs, vying for the greatest voices in the competition. The show premiered on September 23, and one singer changed the course of the game forever.

No One Turned Their Chair For “The Voice” Contestant Kendall Eugene , Not Even Reba

The 37-year-old Texan sang a powerful rendition of Morgan Wallen’s Don’t Think Jesus that the coaches looked to be enjoying. But at the end of his performance, none of the four red chairs faced him. Once they turned to greet him, it was clear that Reba felt like she’d made a mistake.

“I liked everything about it,” she said about his performance.

Kendall said in a coy voice that Reba should have turned.

“I was going to say that exact same words,” Reba replied.

Snoop chimed in and said he expected Reba to turn because she’s the country star, and he didn’t think he could win against her. The rapper was emotional as he praised Kendall for his dynamic performance.

Just when he thought it was over, Reba surprised Kendall with this season’s new twist.

“We’ve got this new thing this year, that is a Coach Replay button. I’m going to use mine,” Reba said as she slammed her button down.

The Coach Replay button gives the coaches a second chance to snag a contestant if they feel regret after turning their chair.

The audience went crazy. Snoop encouraged his fellow coach to get up and give Kendall a hug.

As the pair embraced, Reba said, “I believe in you.”

Michael, Gwen, and Snoop applauded and cheered the duo on. Snoop even wiped a tear from his eye. It was a touching moment that set the stage for the season.

“I knew in my heart I wanted him on my team,” Reba said.
