When it comes time to harvest fresh carrots from the garden, this Bernese mountain dog is more than happy to help! However, his “farm to mouth” technique is a little unconventional. In a hilarious video on social media, a woman was picking vegetables from her garden when her dog, Weller, insisted on lending his assistance. Unfortunately, he doesn’t understand the concept of prepping ingredients.

As soon as Mom lifted a thick, juicy carrot out of the ground, this Bernese mountain dog snatched it out of her hand with his teeth. Then, he scampered off with the ill-gotten veggie! He found a comfy place to lie down so that he could munch his snack in peace. It didn’t seem to bother him at all that the carrot was still caked in dirt. He must be a fan of all-natural produce!

“I wish you would have let me wash it off first,” the dog’s owner said to him.

That’s actually why Mom grows them for him and his sister, another pup of the same breed. However, she usually prefers to save them for the dogs until after dinner!
