Mom Wakes Up To Find Toddler Sleeping In The Most Ridiculous Spot

A parent’s worst nightmare is waking up in the middle of the night and finding your child missing. When Clara Beth Smith woke up and couldn’t see her sleeping toddler on the baby monitor, she frantically searched. Walking into the dark bedroom, she noticed the closet door open.

She sighed with relief when she found her toddler sleeping on the floor. Phew. Crisis averted. As Clara relaxed and prepared to return to her slumber, the rest of us wonder, “Why do toddlers always seem to fall asleep in such odd places?”

There is a scientific answer to that. Toddlers grow a lot between birth and five years. Their little bodies expend energy to develop at such a rapid pace. Add the fact that they are learning to walk, talk, and be tiny humans, and it is a recipe for exhaustion. When kids run out of gas, they quit functioning and fall asleep wherever they happen to be.

That is why this bouncy little guy is nodding off during his exercise period.

After a day of doing the laundry, anyone would suffer exhaustion.

My daughter fell asleep mid-air while bouncing on the bed (don’t judge me). She landed splayed out on the bed, looking like the cops should be called to make a chalk outline.
