Redding Base becomes essential tool for fighting wildfires at record speed
REDDING, Calif. — Wildfire season is underway in California as different parts of the state are currently fighting major fires in their respective regions. Southern California near Bakersfield is fighting the Borel Fire while Northern California is fighting the Park Fire in Chico. Both have low containment percentages as of July 31. Fortunately enough, the Redding Air Attack Base made some facility upgrades earlier in the year to help with wildfire season and it seems to already be paying off.
