Caitlin Clark, Duke Slater and more: Herky on Parade statues made into bobbleheads

Fan-favorite, life-sized Herky statues are now available in miniature form.

Bobblehead versions of 26 statues from the third edition of Herky on Parade are on sale through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum website .

What bobbleheads are available to Hawkeye fans?

The miniature Herkys feature Iowa legends like Duke Slater, Caitlin Clark, Kirk Ferentz, and Christine Grant. The options even include the famous Butter Herky from the Iowa State Fair.

The bobblehead Hall of Fame also sells an all-white, blank canvas, "Paint Your Own Herky."

How much do the Herky bobbleheads cost?

Each bobblehead costs $40 plus an $8 shipping fee. A full set of 26 Herkys is also available for $1,000, featuring a small discount per bobblehead.

Every bobblehead is individually numbered up to 2,024.

A portion of the sale proceeds will be donated to the University of Iowa and Think Iowa City, the long-time organizers of Herky on Parade.

Herky on Parade 3.0

Bobblehead Hall of Fame co-founder Phil Sklar told the Press-Citizen the most popular bobblehead thus far has been the "From the Logo Herky," merging the former Iowa women's basketball guard and two-time Naismith Women's College Player of the Year Clark with the university's instantly recognizable mascot.

The full-size statue, featuring Herky donning a Clark jersey, and its bobblehead were designed by area artist Jeff Christensen, who is responsible for designing more than 10 of the more than 200 Herkys featured in the three editions of Herky on Parade.

Think Iowa City's 20th-anniversary installment of Herky on Parade began in May with 100 statues of the University of Iowa's mascot scattered across the Iowa City and Coralville corridor.

The latest parade of statues will be on display for another month before they head to a public display at FRYFest, the annual kickoff event the Friday before Iowa's first football game.

This year's statues draw inspiration from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , Rosy the Riveter, and the Transformers series, among others. Many designs draw on area icons and popular culture.

When can fans get their hands on the Herky bobbleheads?

The bobbleheads are expected to begin shipping in November.

"We are excited to release these very special Herky on Parade bobbleheads that are replicas of the awesome statues that can be found throughout the Iowa City area,” Sklar said in a statement. “Herky has been a staple at the University of Iowa for generations and is loved by Hawkeye fans young and old.

We know these bobbleheads will become collectibles that are passed down to future generations of Hawkeyes fans through the state of Iowa and beyond.”
