Fans Defending Caitlin Clark Amid Iowa Teammate, Close Friend Jada Gyamfi's Controversial Live Stream

Social media is buzzing right now after active Iowa Hawkeyes player (and close friend of Caitlin Clark) Jada Gyamfi posted a live stream that included multiple insensitive "jokes" at the expense of Angel Reese and Brittney Griner.

The "jokes" were made by two men off-screen (one of which is Jack McCaffery, younger brother of Clark's boyfriend Connor McCaffery), and included "rating" Angel Reese on a scale 1-10, and making a crude reference to Griner being exchanged with Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout at the end of her 2022 Russian detainment.

Gyamfi didn't make the jokes herself. But she laughed along with them, and kept her live stream going in their wake.

Yet, fans are noting that just because Clark and Gyamfi are confirmed to be close friends doesn't mean Clark should be implicated for Gyamfi's foolish actions.

Below are fans coming to Clark's defense amid Gyamfi's live stream.

For reference, below is an X post of the various live stream clips that contain the controversial comments. Gyamfi is on the left wearing a pink sweatshirt.

Fans are correct in saying that Clark has no control over what other say or do in their free time.
