The Iowa high school football season will soon be here in the Iowa City area , and there are a ton of high school seniors ready to get one last crack at a state title.
From University of Iowa commit Mason Woods to North Dakota State commit Brody Clubb, there is no shortage of elite senior talent scattered across the six IHSAA football teams in the Iowa City area.
With the 2024 season kicking off on Aug. 29, here's the Press-Citizen's ranking of the top 10 seniors in the area.

Best Iowa high school football seniors in 2024
Will Aitchison
Regina Catholic
Aitchison became the top running back for a Regina team that made the Class 1A state quarterfinals last season. He rushed for a team-high 567 yards and nine touchdowns on 78 carries. He also had 139 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 17 receptions. As a defensive back, he totaled 28 tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss.

Bobby Bacon
Iowa City High
Bacon had a breakout season for City High football in 2023. He threw for 2,193 yards and 18 touchdowns with just eight interceptions as a junior. He finished with a 155.6 passer rating, which ranked first in Class 5A. He committed to Pittsburg State University in July after receiving offers from Drake and St. Thomas, among others.

Cole Carney
Solon
Carney was a second-team all-state linebacker in Class 3A last season. In his first season with the varsity squad, he posted 22.5 tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack. He also snatched two interceptions for the Spartans.
Brody Clubb
Clear Creek Amana
Clubb is a three-star defensive lineman ranked No. 17 in the state by 24/7 Sports. He held multiple offers, including from Iowa State and Northern Iowa, but the 6-foot-3 star committed to North Dakota State in May. Last season, Clubb was limited to three games due to injury and totaled 16 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

Eddie Johnson
Solon
Johnson had his most productive season as a junior in 2023. He rushed for 378 yards and six touchdowns on 71 carries, the most among all returnees on the roster. He also totaled 258 receiving yards and three touchdowns as a pass-catcher, averaging 16.1 yards per catch. As a defensive end, he racked up18 tackles with 7.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

Sutton Koller
Iowa City Liberty
Koller became a fixture in Liberty's offense last season. He led the team with 816 receiving yards with eight touchdowns. His 59 receptions ranked fourth in 5A. He also rushed for a team-high seven touchdowns with 330 yards on the ground on 73 carries.

Dallas Miller
Iowa City Liberty
Miller ranked first in Class 5A with 12 touchdowns caught last season. The 5-foot-11 star totaled 804 receiving yards with 13.4 yards per catch on a team-high 60 receptions.
Parker Sutherland
Iowa City High
Sutherland, a 6-foot-6 tight end, hauled in 18 receptions for 252 yards. His four touchdowns rank first among all returnees for City High this season. The senior has received offers from South Dakota State and the University of Sioux Falls, among others.

Jack Wallace
Iowa City West
Wallace threw for 1,807 yards and 13 touchdowns to 10 interceptions in his third season as a starting quarterback last year. He also rushed for a team-high six touchdowns. Since 2021, he's totaled 4,390 passing yards and 43 touchdowns. He committed to Minnesota State in June.
Mason Woods
Iowa City West
Woods is rated as a three-star recruit by ESPN . The 6-foot-2 wideout held offers from Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State and Missouri, among others. He committed to Iowa in June. As a junior, he posted 535 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 35 receptions.
