Tyler Schepanski, a senior at Liberty High School, is the Press-Citizen's newest Student of the Week.

Schepanski received 48.31% of the 15,838 total votes. City High senior Zakai Kriener followed closely behind, with 44.31%.

Schepanski is one of the top students in the class of 2025. Recently, he was named a National Merit Semifinalist, an accomplishment limited to fewer than one percent of all high school students in the United States.

"(Schepanski's) dedication to learning is apparent thanks to a course load full of advanced placement courses and post-secondary enrollment options, despite already surpassing his graduation credit requirements," said Principal Dr. Justin Colbert.

This week's poll closed Thursday, Sept. 26. A new Student of the Week poll will go live on Monday, Sept. 30.
