    High Winds and Hail Reported from Tuesday’s Storm

    (Des Moines) The storm that swept through the area on Tuesday night dumped large hail and brought high winds to some areas in southwest Iowa.

    High winds were reported in several locations in southwest Iowa:

    *64 Mph wind gust seven miles northwest of Oakland

    *63 Mph wind gust five miles southeast of Council Bluffs (Broken power poles and down tree limbs).

    *63 Mph wind gust three miles northwest of Macedonia

    *59 Mph wind gust in McClelland in Pottawattamie County

    *90 Mph wind gust at Eppley Airfield in Omaha

    *72 Mph wind gust one-mile northeast of Harlan

    *65 Mph wind gust one-mile northeast of Audubon

    Large hail was reported in Shelby, Harrison, Audubon, Pottawattamie, and Madison Counties.

    *1.75-inch hail reported in Harlan

    *2.50-inch hail reported in Neola

    *1.00-inch hail reported one-mile northeast of Shelby

    *1.50-inch hail reported in Missouri Valley.

    *2.50-inch hail reported five miles south of Earlham

    *1.75-inch hail reported in Winterset
