    How much rain central Iowa saw in this first round of storms

    IOWA — The first round of rain to impact Central Iowa on Tuesday brought the heaviest rain from a band of storms that moved from just south of Omaha to Greenfield and the west side of the Metro early this morning.

    Scattered showers and rain will continue through mid-day. More storms will occur later this afternoon and evening and will bring a threat of severe weather, including damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes, plus flash flooding to southeast Iowa through the evening.

    A Flood Watch will stay in effect for Southeast Iowa through 10 PM.
