This was the sentence that caused the final part of an hourslong statement by Kimora Hodges to be thrown out of court, overturning the initial ruling by Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Diane Druzinski. On May 30, the Michigan Court of Appeals ruled in a 2-1 decision that the detective interrogating Hodges did not respect her right to an attorney.
Richmond parish festival on the go with fan-favorite events
St. Augustine Catholic Church is on the go with golfing, a cruise-in and cornhole this summer, as the church’s annual Parish Festival returns to Richmond Aug. 8 to 11. Festival Chairperson Valerie Oehmke said via email on July 5 that the St. Augustine Parish Festival remains the church’s largest fundraiser of the year. Although there is no cost to attend the festival as a whole, proceeds raised from individual activities at the festival benefit the church.

71-year-old Warren man calls 911, says he killed his wife
WARREN, Mich. (FOX 2) - A 71-year-old Warren man is facing murder charges after he allegedly killed his wife over the weekend and then called 911 to report the murder. James Michael Hentges is accused of using a pillow to suffocate his wife, Cheryl Hentges, inside the couple's home in the 24000 block of Loretta Avenue near Stephens and Ryan on Saturday. Several hours later, he called 911 and told the dispatcher that he had killed his wife and attempted suicide by harming himself and taking pills.
