5K for firefighters set for Family Day in New Haven
Families and firefighters will come together in New Haven on Aug. 10, when Haven Place will host its annual free Family Day event downtown. Man severely hurt after falling from top of Birmingham parking garage
An 18-year-old West Bloomfield man was severely injured after falling from the top of a Birmingham parking structure Friday, police said. Officers were called at about 6:20 p.m. Friday to the parking structure located at 333 Park Street near Woodward Avenue and Oakland Avenue for a report of a man who fell from the building's highest level, they said.

An Eastpointe man was ordered to serve four to 15 years in prison for causing the death of a man in a traffic crash on the east side of Detroit on New Year’s Eve morning.
