Morristown man found dead, police investigate suspicious circumstances
MORRISTOWN — Morristown Police Department officers discovered the body of 76-year-old Richard Cote during a welfare check early Wednesday morning, officials said. Officers entered Cote’s residence at 813 Elmore St. at about 6:30 a.m. after an associate expressed concern for his wellbeing. Upon arrival, police found Cote deceased.

Allen) At the Governor’s weekly press conference, state leaders shared that a decision on a FEMA disaster declaration is expected by the end of this week. If Vermont qualifies for individual FEMA assistance, impacted Vermonters will need to submit their information to FEMA, in addition to 211. Vermonters are encouraged to prepare their documentation in advance. Resources are available at the State Floor Recovery Centers to assist with this and we will communicate the availability of assistance if, and when, FEMA makes a decision.
