Sisters from Statesville Arrested on Felony Drug Charges
61-year-old Sherry Kiser Jenkins of Loray Lane and 62-year-old Teresa Kiser Forrest of Pratt Lane, both from Statesville, were arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers on June 21 on drug charges. The suspects are sisters. Jenkins was charged with two counts of trafficking in opium or heroin and single counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a schedule V controlled substance. Forrest was charged with felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a vehicle for the use of narcotics. Both suspects were charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Iredell County Fire Marshal’s Office investigating cause of blaze that sent two firefighters to hospital
Two Mooresville firefighters were treated at a local hospital on Tuesday for injuries sustained while on the scene of a large debris fire. Mount Mourne Fire Department personnel and nearby departments were dispatched at 11:52 a.m. for what was initially reported as a structure fire at 130 Ritchie Foam Lane.
Iredell chase ends with crash; one reported dead
On person is dead after a car collided with a FedEx truck Tuesday morning on N.C. Highway 115. A North Carolina Highway Patrol Sgt. Chad Crouse said a trooper had stopped to assist the driver and passenger of the car with a flat tire. The two men reportedly got back in the vehicle when asked their names.
Iredell sisters arrested on drug charges after traffic stop
Two sisters were arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop on June 21. Teresa Kiser Forrest, 62, of Pratt Lane, Statesville, and her sister, Sherry Kiser Jenkins, 61, of Loray Lane, Statesville, were each charged after a traffic stop by an Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputy, said Sheriff Darren Campbell.
Stony Point Man Facing Charges In Three Counties
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year old David Earl Welch of Stony Point on June 25th and charged him with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance. As of earlier today, Welch remains in the Iredell County Detention Center under a secured bond of $30,000.
